After two years in Early Access, ARK: Survival Evolved has released in full

"This is not the end of the ARK saga, but only the beginning of the next phase."

It's been a long time coming, but ARK: Survival Evolved is officially calling itself a full game as it has officially left Early Access today after spending the last two years in it. The game and its developer Studio Wildcard has been through a lot, but despite everything, it is here, now retailing for a full $60 and an extra $45 if you want the Season Pass.

The studio took to the game's Steam page to thanks fans for their feedback and revealed all that is new with the game. Version 1.0 brings the game's full story mode to the table which tasks players with making their way to the center of the ARK to "discover the shocking secret that lies buried within." The story, the studio says, is there to provide players with "closure" if they want it, but of course, the developers are far from done adding to the game.

The adorable otters have made it into to the game alongside Version 1.0, and a Phoenix, as well as additional Tek Gear, will land sometime later this week.

ARK: Survival Evolved is available now on PC, PS4, Xbox One, Mac, and Linux.
