Age of Wushu making the jump to consoles and a feature film

Snail Games' premiere martial arts MMORPG, Age of Wushu, has launched earlier this year, and now has some further exciting news to share with its fanbase. The franchise will be making two huge leaps.

The first announcement is that Age of Wushu will be making its way to consoles and mobile devices. No major specifics we're given yet. Snail Games has not divulged which consoles it'll be coming to, whether it's current-gen Xbox 360 or PS3, or the next-gen consoles Xbox One or PS4. It's also not known what the mobile version will consist of.

The next big announcement was that Age of Wushu would become a feature film. Since Jet Li plays a prominent role in advertising the game as well as having specific quests in the game, it's not all that surprising.

"The Age of Wushu game looks and plays like a major martial arts motion picture so bringing the property to movie screens is a logical evolution," said Shi Hai, founder and chairman, Snail Games. "Our goal has always been for the property to reach the widest audience so evolving to a feature film and expanding the experience to consoles and mobile devices continues our plan."

Snail Games will reveal specifics at a later date.
