Akuma revealed for Street Fighter V, playable at PSX Experience

It's no secret that Street Fighter V received a mixed reaction for its light content, and low character count. Not just critically, but financially as well: SFV has been a financial atom bomb. Capcom was expecting millions of sales, including 2 million copies to be sold by the end of last March. It sold almost 1.4 million by May, and has only sold about 100k since then.

Capcom has been pushing out new content, including a hilariously awesome story mode, new characters, etc. This has done little to help so far, but staying true to their roots, Capcom is continuing to fight back. Starting with the return of fan favorite Akuma.

Who knows why it took so long for Akuma to show up, but he's finally coming. We'll see if this is the start of a comeback with a second season, or if Capcom's Shun Goku Satsu turns into an Otoko Michi. Akuma will be playable during the PSX Experience, at the Anaheim Convention Center from December 3-4.
