Albedo: Eyes from Outer Space making the jump from PC to console

Being available on PC only initially, Merge Games has announced that Albedo: Eyes from Outer Space is coming to Xbox One and PS4 later this month. It features a mix of different genres, with elements of FPS, puzzlers and platformers all combined in an outer space adventure.

John T. Longly, our explorer, is knocked unconscious by an explosion on board his ship one night. After waking up and finding a gaping hole in ship, he must escape before he can figure out what is going on. You will need to both solve puzzles and shoot enemies in order to proceed. As you go, John discovers there is an intergalactic war going on that he needs to stop before it destroys all of humanity.

There are over 20 rooms in Albedo and each one has its own mystery that needs to be solved. The physics engine was designed specifically for this game and allows a new way of interacting with the over 100 objects in game. Those who may not be as proficient at puzzles also need not worry. Albedo employs a special device that lets you see into the future and look at the results of your efforts.

Albedo is releasing on Xbox One January 19th with PS4 users in Europe able to play on the 20th. PS4 players in the US will be able to play on February 2nd. It will cost $14.99
