One new photograph of Alien: Covenant's heroine has released, along with an odd countdown that might just be bringing us a teaser!
EW supplied one of the photographs, depicting Katherine Waterston dirtied up and holding a gun. It looks like this photo might be a direct follow-up to the previous photo that had her in the same tank top with a gun in a hallway.
Waterson's character is looking more and more like some sort of Ripley clone with the tank top and short hair. Hopefully, the movie won't be a straight Alien clone and will offer some kind of new adventure.
The other photos come courtesy of the Alien twitter account, which appear to be counting down to December 22nd, at 12:05. The theory is that the numbers below the tweeted images are a countdown to the film's first teaser releasing in milliseconds, though that has yet to be confirmed.
The way the numbers went back up today kind of disprove that theory. However, if you use the military time format of YYYYMMDDTTTT and flip it, you get a betting picture. Alien: Covenant takes place in 2104, which is the last four digits of each image.
It looks like the images are all taking place in December of 2014 at various times in the day.

Alien: Covenant stars Michael Fassbender, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir, Jussie Smollet, and Katherine Waterston. The film is set to release on May 19th, 2017 .
