Alien: Isolation, Far Cry 4 and more nominated for BAFTA game awards

Who will take home the awards?

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has officially announced the nominations for the British Academy Games Awards of 2015. The Games Awards covers 17 different categories and reviews the games that have released in the past year.

A total of 51 games have made the cut and received nominations. Alien: Isolation, from developer The Creative Assembly and publisher Sega, has effectively cleaned house when it comes to nominations. The game is in the lead with a total of six nominations. Whether or not they will go home with all six is another story.

Far Cry 4 and Monument Valley follow Alien: Isolation with five nominations each, with overlapping nominations. Check out some of the games with the most nominations:

Six nominations:

  • Alien: Isolation: Audio Achievement, Best Game, British Game, Game Design, Game Innovation and Music.

Five nominations:

  • Far Cry 4: Artistic Achievement, Game Design, Music, Story and Performer. 
  • Monument Valley: Artistic Achievement, Best Game, British Game, Mobile & Handheld and Original Property.

Four nominations:

  • 80 Days: British Game, Game Innovation, Mobile & Handheld and Story.
  • Destiny: Best Game, Game Design, Multiplayer and Persistent Game.

Rufus Hound will be hosting the British Academy Games Awards as they take place on Thursday, March 12 at Tobacco Dock, London. The event will be live streamed through Twitch.
