Creative Assembly has confirmed plans to announce the release date for Alien: Isolation this weekend at EGX Rezzed, a UK event dedicated to PC, indie and console gaming. The event will be held in Birmingham, UK from Friday, March 28 to Sunday, March 30.
"These are the dates that many of you will have been looking forward to – the moment you can experience the horror and the atmosphere of Alien: Isolation first hand at our stand, S9," Creative Assembly teased. "However, you can look forward to more than that -we’ll be announcing our official release date at EGX. That’s right, the date you can look forward to holding Alien: Isolation in your own hands."
Attendees of the event will have the chance to go hands-on with the game, which sees you play as Amanda Ripley, daughter of Ellen Ripley, on a mission to discover the truth behind her mother's disappearance. In the game, Amanda heads to a space station housing the recovered audio log that details the events of Nostromo. Creative Assembly has emphasized that their focus on the game is to recreate an experience similar to that of Ridley Scott's original 1979 film, Alien.
Alien: Isolation will be available on Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
