Alien occupation drama ‘Colony’ gets USA series order

USA Network is known for some of their popular shows like Suits, White Collar, Psych and Burn Notice. The network just picked up Colony to series for a 10-episode order.

Written and executive produced by Lost co-showrunner Carlton CuseĀ and Ryan Condal, Colony stars two pretty big names: Josh Holloway (Lost, Intelligence) and Sarah Wayne Callies (The Walking Dead).

Colony takes place in Los Angeles in the near future, where the city exists in a state of occupation by a force of outside intruders. It is a naturalistic drama about a family torn apart by opposing forces and making difficult choices as they balance staying together with surviving the struggle of the human race. USA Network President Chris McCumber said, "Carlton and Ryan have created an intriguing ride that uniquely provides a humanistic take. Josh and Sarah have incredible on-screen chemistry and brilliantly play a couple making tough choices to protect their family in an uncertain world."
