All 12 Doctors set to appear in LEGO Dimensions

It has been confirmed that all of Doctor Who's regenerated characters will be available to play with during the upcoming LEGO Dimensions title, making a grand total of 12 versions of the infamous Doctor available.

Many fans have enjoyed the life cycle of Doctor Who as the actor changes every time he dies, and this will be mirrored in this much anticipated title. Gamers will be able to travel through time and space just like on BBC's popular TV series, buzzing his famous sonic screwdriver while solving puzzles and mysteries with some rather unlikely companions.

Other characters confirmed to feature can be seen in the trailer above, including Gandalf from the Lord of the Rings franchise, Batman and others.

The starter pack for LEGO Dimensions will include an initial three levels, featuring a cameo role for current Doctor, Peter Capaldi. Players will be able to battle with some of The Doctor's greatest enemies, including Daleks, Cybermen and much more!

However it will not just be Capaldi that will be a playable character. Many fan favorites that came before him are set to feature because every time the Doctor dies in-game, he will be replaced by one of the other Doctor characters in chronological order. These will include David Tennant, Matt Smith, Christopher Ecclestone and many others.

Aside from personalised Tardis and soundtrack, each Doctor will also receive specific strengths. Mark Warburton, producer at software house Traveller's Tales, said: "Each of the characters in the game have their own unique abilities. It makes it a different experience playing with each of them – that extends even to the different Doctors."

If all of that wasn't enough, it's been confirmed that Peter Capadi's lovely companion Jenna Louise Coleman will have her own character in this title. If you would like to read more about LEGO Dimensions, click here.
