There are only a few weeks left in the year, but with PlayStation already having announced the PS Plus games for 2017, we can look back at everything that was given to PlayStation Plus subscribers throughout the year.
A total of 74 games were released this year, which amounts to around $1,300 worth of games.
Compared to the number of free games that Xbox got, PlayStation Plus offers up more games – but that's nothing new, it was the same case last year. The difference between the two services offerings is that each full set of games with Xbox's Games With Gold is playable on the Xbox One via backward compatibility. The PlayStation Plus offerings can sometimes swing it on other PlayStation platforms through cross-play, but not always.
Another difference between the two services is that, the Games With Gold titles for Xbox 360 are in your Xbox game library for life, the Xbox One games are not accessible if your subscription lapses and all free PlayStation Plus games are inaccessible if your subscription ends.
Overall, PlayStation Plus subscribers got two more games for free this year than they did last year. Here are all the games that were given to PlayStation Plus subscribers this year.
