Director Masahiro Sakurai today released a new screenshot of one of Link’s many alternate costumes for the next Super Smash Bros.—the “pic of the day” over on the Miiverse.
This outfit is “based on his ordinary clothes in Skyward Sword,” Sakurai said. As you would expect, the getup has been altered to fit the SSB aesthetic, “but the actual clothing model is still his usual tunic.” Compared to its original appearance in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, the tunic is best described as sharper as opposed to its original soft, almost subdued appearance.
Super Smash Bros Wii U/3DS will release for 3DS October 3 and will hit Wii U later this holiday season.
