Amazon has announced that they will be hosting a sale specifically for digital content on Amazon. While the wording on their announcement doesn't outright include console games, the images associated with the advertisement suggest that digital copies of games will also be seeing a discount.
According to Amazon, this is what their 'Digital Day' will cover:
Amazon Digital Day is the deal event for your devices. For one day only, get up to 50% off over a thousand TV shows, movies, music, apps, mobile games, eBooks and more. The savings start on Friday, December 30. Whether you’re gifting or receiving gadgets this year, this 24-hour sale is one of the best times of the year to shop for must-have digital content.
There isn't any mention of console video games, however, Saints Row IV, Fallout 4, Dragon Ball Xenoverse, Destiny: Rise of Iron and City: Skylines are all featured in the advertorial – see below:
Additionally, the highlight image of the store page features a controller – so it's safe to say that console games will be included in the sale… Unless Amazon wants to deal with the Advertising Standards Authority for false advertisement, a group that the gaming community is fairly familiar with.
The sale is expected to begin on December 30th and will last one day, bringing discounts up to 50% off.
