Amazon has begun to inform customers that pre-ordered the Amazon exclusive Batman: Arkham Knight Limited Edition has been delayed in the UK. The reason for the delay was cited as "packaging quality issues," which appears to mean there was an issue with the figurine that was included in the Limited Edition.
Prior to the delay of Amazon's exclusive Limited Edition, the Batmobile Edition was revealed to be canceled across all retailers. The reason? The Batmobile figurine's quality was 'compromised.' Amazon is informing those affected through an email that reads as follows:
"We wanted to let you know that Batman Arkham Knight – Amazon.co.uk Exclusive Limited Edition (Xbox One), from your order will be delayed as the manufacturer has advised us that there's been a packaging quality issue.
We want to ensure that your order reaches you in pristine condition and your item, with the updated packaging, should be with you no later than 14 July, 2015."
The game's delay does not mean that purchasers will not be playing the game when it releases, affected individuals will receive digital download codes for the game.
The Limited Edition was to include:
