Amazon is now a game maker.
In a quiet debut, the popular online retailer released its first title as Amazon Game Studios. The "moving objects" game Living Classics follows a family of foxes as they explore royalty-free stories like Alice in Wonderland, The Wizard of Oz, and King Arthur.
"Why is Amazon making social games, you ask?" the website reads. "Good question! We know that many Amazon customers enjoy playing games — including free-to-play social games — and thanks to Amazon's know-how, we believe we can deliver a great, accessible gaming experience that gamers and our customers can play any time."
The game is available on Facebook. The company is also hiring.
