Amazon Prime adds HBO and Cinemax to its Amazon Channels service

Just in time for this Sunday’s season finale of Westworld, Amazon Prime users can now sign up to stream content from HBO and Cinemax … for a price.

The online retailer announced today that Prime members can sign up for a monthly HBO or Cinemax subscription through the Amazon Channels feature. Those interested in an HBO subscription will pay an additional $14.99 a month, which is the same price for the standalone HBO Now service, or $9.99 a month for Cinemax.

Each add-on service will grant users full access to original programming and movies each channel currently provides.

Amazon Channels allows Prime members to select from more than 70 video subscription services, including Showtime, Starz, Machinima, and more. Prime members can also sign up for a 30-day free trial of HBO.
