Amazon Prime Now to offer special midnight delivery options for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3

Amazon is pretty awesome for a number of reasons, but one of the downfalls of ordering online is having to wait for it to ship. Sure, free two-day delivery with Amazon Prime is nice, but in some cases you're not always guaranteed to get a game on launch day. And for a game that releases at midnight? Forget about it.

Looking to improve its service, Amazon announced its Prime Now service will offer special delivery windows for Prime members to have Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 delivered just as it becomes available ad midnight (EST) on the game's November 6th release.

Release night pre-orders must be placed using the Prime Now app with reservations starting at midnight easter standard time on November 4th. You'll be able to choose a special delivery window and even select additional items you want delivered, such as beverages, snacks, or extra controllers. Amazon notes a "limited availability within each delivery window," and urges customers to download the Prime App now to ensure a reservation.

There will be no additional fees for the midnight delivery; however, Prime Now is only offered in certain areas: Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Indianapolis, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Manhattan, Miami, Minneapolis, Orange County, Phoenix, Portland, Sacramento, San Antonio, San Francisco, San Jose, and Seattle.

“Why wait in lines on release night when we’ll bring Call of Duty: Black Ops III right to your door? We’re making it easy for hardcore gamers to download the app, reserve a coveted delivery window for midnight delivery and sit back while the game comes right to their doors. Our Prime customers will be on their way to ranking up before they know it, and all without having to leave the comfort of their house,” said Stephenie Landry, Amazon’s worldwide director of Prime Now. “We love offering exclusive opportunities for our Prime members and the gaming community, and now they can get the most anticipated game of the year, Call of Duty: Black Ops III, moments after it is released.”
