Amazon Prime picks up ‘Doctor Who’ seasons 1-8 for streaming

Last month when Netflix's streaming contract ended with 'Doctor Who' many fans were left upset. The Time Lord was snatched away from viewers and it seemed that it was going to stay that way until Amazon stepped in.
Thankfully, fans of the franchise can be at ease again because Amazon Prime just picked up seasons 1-8 of Doctor Who and are now able to stream through their service starting this March. The announcement comes from a tweeted Amazon Prime promo (via zap2it) that shows off a slew of great titles including Ghostbusters, American Physco, and The End of the Tour.
However, this still might be a bummer to some people as they might not own both services. If you want to give Amazon Prime a try, you could click here and sign up for your 30-day free trial which grants you 2-day shipping, unlimited access to music and unlimited movies & tv shows with Prime Video.
