Another day, another rumor regarding the release date for PlayStation 4 exclusive racer, Driveclub. This time, Amazon's listing for the game calls for a September 30, 2014 release.
It's worth pointing out that retailers often post dates as a placeholder but this could be indicative of a fall release window. Driveclub was originally supposed to be a PS4 launch title but was delayed until "early 2014." Since the official announcement of the delay, we've heard numerous rumored dates ranging from April to June. Given recent reports of Sony going "back to the drawing board" with Driveclub, a fall release would certainly make sense.
Sony hasn't really explained the reason behind the initial delay, only saying "the team requires more time in order to deliver on their vision," but it's rumored that it could be due to possible integration with Sony's VR headset (also rumored to be revealed at GDC this month).
