A number of documents for the PlayStation 4 "Neo" leaked yesterday, bringing a bunch of information to light. Of course, a number of this information had already been rumored for a while, including the hardware specifications, but there is one thing we haven't seen: a price.
Amazon Spain has gone ahead and resolved that issue, as well as offering a release date. Up until now, there have been rumors suggesting that the console will release in October of this year, but now Amazon Spain is offering a specific date.
The page did not refer to the coming console as 'Neo' or as the PS4.5, but it was a new console listing. The details have already been removed from Amazon Spain, however, the Internet remembers (thanks to the image snapping netizens on NeoGaf).
According to Amazon Spain, the PS4.5/Neo will release alongside the PSVR on October 13th, 2016 for €399.99 EUR.
Now, this could mean that the listing was a wrong listing for the PSVR, seeing as it is the same price and release date. That listing would have been in 'Accessories' not 'Consoles,' so, if there was a mistake – it's understandable for the listing to be removed. However, the page ist still live for the console – only the details have been removed, which suggests it wasn't an accidental PSVR listing. That page would have been removed entirely.
Amazon has both correctly leaked things and mistakenly leaked things…. So, here's to hoping that it's real, but I'm keeping the salt and skepticism alive.
