With the premiere of Fear The Walking Dead just weeks away, AMC has released a new promo clip for the upcoming Walking Dead spin-off series.
The new clip features Nick, played by Frank Dillane, as he's runnning in sheer panic from what I presume are zombies. Of course, as Fear The Walking Dead will be set during the initial stages of the zombie outbreak, I don't think he knows exactly what is going on. Hence the look of terror on his face as he runs.
Although Fear the Walking Dead is set in the same universe as the one established by Robert Kirkman's comic series — of which the AMC's The Walking Dead series is based on — the spinoff series will focus on a different question.
"What did the world look like as it was transforming into the horrifying apocalypse depicted in The Walking Dead? This summer, AMC will answer that question with Fear The Walking Dead, an all-new original series set in Los Angeles, following new characters as they face the beginning of the end of the world."
Fear The Walking Dead will premiere this August on AMC, with a second season airing in 2016. It stars Kim Dickens (Gone Girl, Sons of Anarchy), Cliff Curtis (Missing, Gang Related), Frank Dillane (Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince) and Alycia Debnam Carey (Into the Storm) and is Executive Produced by Dave Erickson (Marco Polo, Sons of Anarchy), Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Greg Nicotero and David Alpert.
AMC will be bringing Fear The Walking Dead to San Diego Comic-Con next month, and I assume they'll share more details and perhaps a lengthier trailer for the highly anticipated series.
