AMD CEO reveals Windows 10 release window

Microsoft has been hard at work making Windows 10 into the operating system (OS) that everyone wants (and even some people get for free). It was originally revealed that the OS that will bring a unified gaming experience between the PC and Xbox One would be launching this summer, but the release window has been cut down to a specific month thanks to AMD's CEO Lisa Su, who let the date slip during an earnings call (around 22 minutes in).

Answering a question about AMD's Carrizo processor and shipping out more units in the coming Quarter, Lisa Su revealed that the Windows 10 release in July should help them sell more units.:

… What we are also factoring in is, you know, with the Windows 10 launch at the end of July.

An honest slip by AMD's CEO points us towards something else; When Xbox One Preview Program users saw that May's update had "Allow streaming to other devices" as an option, supposing that it was linked to Windows 10 wasn't an over-extrapolation.

Windows 10 will be bringing us Microsoft's new internet browser Project Spartan (official name pending), officially side-lining of Internet Explorer.
