If you’re the type of gamer that’s always on the lookout for a free deal here and there, it looks like Humble Bundle has yet another free game giveaway. Right now for the next day and a half, the digital games distributor is giving away codes for the Amnesia Collection, which comes with both games in the series.
Amnesia: The Dark Descent and Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs are first-person horror games that completely eliminate combat from their respective game systems. The Dark Descent is often credited as one of the games that sparked the revival of the horror’s genre’s return to prominence after games like Resident Evil 5 elected a more action-oriented approach. In fact, Resident Evil 7’s success and overall format can also be traced back to the foundations laid down by Amnesia, while re-integrating a more methodical combat system.
The Amnesia Collection is typically valued at $35 or $40 when purchasing the games separately, so the fact that you can grab these games for nothing but signing up for a free Humble account is a no-brainer. If you’re looking to take advantage of the deal, head over here. You only have until this Saturday at 1 PM EST to grab them, so don’t wait too long.
It’s also worth pointing out that Humble Bundle has another amazing deal going on right now. You can grab Civilization VI for a mere $12 by signing up for Humble Monthly, and you’ll get a bundle of currently unknown games on top of that as well. Given that Civ VI hardly every dips past the $30 mark during Steam sales, it’s an incredible value.
