An Assassin's Creed TV Show is officially in the works

There is a lot going on with the Assassin's Creed brand that we haven't seen yet. While most are thinking in terms of the currently unannounced Assassin's Creed: Empire (which may or may not be the real name), Ubisoft isn't done expanding on the levels of media that they want the franchise to go to. In a Reddit AMA, Assassin's Creed's Head of Content, Aymar Azaizia revealed that an Assassin's Creed TV Show is in the company's plans, but could not offer up anything specific.

Here's that interaction:

"Taking time" has seemingly been Ubisoft's motto over the last year or so in the wake of the botched Assassin's Creed: Unity release and the slightly more than lukewarm reception to Assassin's Creed: Syndicate. The Assassin's Creed movie didn't fare as well as the company had hoped, but like anything, there's always room for improvement.

Ubisoft is clearly committed to improving the Assassin's Creed brand and will continue to push it out into different avenues, including film as it is expected that the Fassbender-led movie is planned to be a trilogy.
