Analyst talks prices for PS4 Neo and PS4 Slim

Sony's next two iterations of the PlayStation 4 have garnered quite a bit of attention this Summer. PlayStation 4 Slim leaks have been hard to ignore and more PS4 Neo rumors have been leaking out, in addition to the rumors that came weeks ago.

It's likely that these two new consoles will be revealed during the PlayStation Event next week, but nothing is confirmed. The latest rumblings on the two consoles has an analyst taking a stab at what the price for the upcoming additions to the PlayStation family could be.

Atul Goyal, an analyst at Jefferies Group LLC, claims that the PS4 Neo will be priced at $399 and the PS4 Slim will be $299.

Leaked details on the Neo report that the console will be more powerful than the current PS4, with the ability to scale games to 4K with 60fps. The $400 price point suggested by Goyal is on par with a previous report from someone working in the facility where the Neo is being developed, which offers some credence to that price.

As for the Slim, $299 almost seems a bit too expensive, but Sony has always been one for maintaining their prices.
