Anarchy Reigns makes its long awaited debut tomorrow

The beginning of every year is typically a slow period for video game releases, but just a week in and gamers are already being treated to a one of our first "big" games of 2013, Anarchy Reigns. And what better way to usher in the new year than a game that has seen multiple delays?

Developed by Platinum Games and published by SEGA, Anarchy Reigns suffered from repeated delays. Although it was released on July 5, 2012 in Japan, the game's North American release has been up in the air for a while now. Alas, the wait is almost over as Anarchy Reigns is set to launch tomorrow, January 8 in North America. For those in Europe, it will be available on January 11, 2013. It will be playable on Xbox 360 and PS3 for $29.99.

For those who haven't been keeping up with our coverage of Anarchy Reigns, the game delivers "over-the-top close combat, set in a massively open and fantastical world in a bleak, mutant filled future." There are several types of gameplay modes including 16-player multiplayer matches, Battle Royale, a co-op Survival mode, and a sports-like game called Deathball.

Be sure to check back tomorrow for our review of the game.
