Android version of Rayman Jungle Run due out next week

Announced just a few weeks ago for iOS and Android devices, Rayman Jungle Run has been released. Well, for iOS platforms at least. It looks like Android users will have to wait a few more days to get their hands on Ubisoft's limbless hero.

As announced on the Rayman Facebook page, Rayman Jungle Run will be available for Android devices on September 27. That's next Thursday, you guys! It appears that the decision was made by Ubisoft in order for the game to function properly across all devices. Makes sense. No use rushing the game and getting crazy fan backlash, right?

"We understand that you can’t wait to play the game but we were not 100 percent sure that the experience would be perfect on ALL Android devices. That’s why we have taken the decision to take one more week to fully optimize the game for all Android devices, even the less common ones."

So yeah, just a little bit longer, Android users. For what it's worth, Rayman Jungle Run looks pretty cool. The UbiArt style is completely charming, and that runner-styel gameplay looks like it could be a blast. The game is currently available on iOS for $2.99.
