If you've been enjoying Nintendo's first step into the mobile markets, but have been wanting something a bit more of a game and less of a social app, then Nintendo's got you covered. The next two of their properties are coming to mobile, have been called "pure-game apps" by DeNA CEO Isao Moriyasu. It has also been reported by Moriyasu that the games will also be "free-to-start".
This is stark contrast to Square Enix's established intellectual properties on the smartphone market whose apps run the full range of prices from $2.99 to $20. The question is, does the free-to-start model mean that there will be micro-transactions for minor cosmetic items or will we eventually be paying higher prices to unlock the game in full?
Additionally, the Animal Crossing mobile game will link to the new Animal Crossing game, according to the Nintendo earning presesntation.
