Animal Crossing: New Leaf, the latest entry in Nintendo's life-simulation series Animal Crossing, has passed 6.35 million in worldwide combined retail and digital sales.
The title debuted in Japan in November 2012 and hit North America this year in June. So it's been on the shelf — somewhere — for nearly a year now.
Nintendo revealed that another top 3DS seller, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, has pushed about half that number — with sales at 3.13 million worldwide.
The Japan-only Tomodachi Collection (another life-simulation game for 3DS) chases that figure at 1.63 million. Mario & Luigi: Dream Team has pulled in 1.37 million, followed by Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D at 1.19 million.
