Ubisoft has announced that Anno 2205, their simulation in outer space, will be getting both free and paid DLC content with three expansions in total.
The free content, titled Wildwater Bay, will be the largest area in the game so far and feature a large land mass and several islands available for colonization in a temperate Earth setting. Due for release this January, it will be the first major DLC released for the game.
The two pieces of paid DLC, titled Tundra and Orbit, will be released shortly after with Tundra launching this February. No date has been announced yet for Orbit. “This will help you to acquire additional coastal and mountain slots,” says Executive Producer Burkhard Ratheiser in a forum post. “In addition, a new sector project will be available where you can solve the riddle of the abandoned underwater cities and meet ghosts from the past.”
The DLC will also come with a patch to help fix some minor bugs and fixes for performance due to the increased area of play. Anno 2205 is Ubisoft's continuation of their simulation of the human race. For the first time it ventures into space as mankind must fight for its survival and colonize the moon while overcoming terrible weather and frigid landscapes. It is available now on PC only and is a simulator worthy of your time as it encompasses a great deal of detail and in depth construction.
