As it turns out, another Hellboy is happening – but now how we expected it would. In the past, director Guillermo del Toro said Hellboy 3 could happen, while Ron Perlman flip-flopped between saying it could happen to it not happening. In the end, Guillermo del Toro confirmed that Hellboy 3 would not be happening.
It has been confirmed that another Hellboy is coming, but without Guillermo de Toro, the man the directed the original films or Ron Perlman who played the role of Hellboy. This time, Stranger Things' David Harbour will be taking the role of Hellboy.
According to reports, the new Hellboy will be a "reboot and relaunch the property." The film, which is has a working title of Hellboy: Rise of the Blood Queen, has been scripted by Andrew Cosby, Christopher Golden, and Hellboy creator Mike Mignola.
Neil Marshall is set to direct the film, the director behind 'The Descent' and some work on Game of Thrones.
