In case you missed it earlier, here is the reveal cinematic for Blizzard's new game Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft. Blizzard unveiled the game earlier today during a panel at PAX East. Hearthstone is a free-to-play strategy card game that takes the traditional elements of a tabletop trading card game and brings it into the digital world.
"We've always loved collectible card games at Blizzard, so it's been exciting to bring everything we love about the genre to life in Hearthstone," said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. "We're putting a lot of focus into creating a fun new game that's easy to pick up and play, but also has a lot of depth. We can't wait to share it with everyone."
Hearthstone will be available later this year for Windows, Mac, and eventually iPad. It will use a microtransaction business model which allows you to buy booster packs of cards for around $1.00. Check out the cinematic reveal above, along with the developer diary below.
