Toy manufacturer, Tamashii Nations, has just inveiled the first full image of Ant-Man for their line of Captain America: Civil War figures, set for release this July.
Some very distinct differences can be seen throughout, namely the helmet and shoulders. The helmet has taken on a sleeker, less prototype looking design, abandoning the antennae for more of a bladed affair, similar to Ultron's look in the Avengers sequel (possible shout-out to Hank Pym's comic connection to the character?). There is also the notable addition of armored pauldrons to the shoulders, but the overall design has maintained its red and black theme from the first film.
We got our first shot of Ant-Man during the Civil War Super Bowl spot this month, as well as the reveal of Funko Pop's line-up for the film, which included Ant-Man labeled as "Giant Man". In the comics, Hank Pym utilizes his Pym Particles to become several different variations of his own hero, including Giant Man, with the ability to grow to the size of a skyscraper! These major changes may prove Scott Lang's (Paul Rudd) Ant-Man to be more formidable than people expect, making him one of the most valuable assets to Team Cap.
Preorders for the Tamashii figure should be available by March 1st and is expected to retail at $55.
Captain America: Civil War releases May 6th!
