today announced that its auction to benefit the Marine Toys For Tots
Foundation is now underway at Amazon.com. Up for auction are the first five
numbered, limited-edition copies of Age of Empires: The Collector’s Edition,
signed by the legendary Bruce Shelley, senior designer of the Age of Empires
series, and members of the development team at Ensemble Studios. The auction
will run through Tuesday, December 12, 2000. The Marine Toys for Tots
Foundation distributes gifts to underprivileged children throughout the U.S.,
bringing the joy of Christmas to millions of kids each year.

Age
of Empires: The Collector’s Edition is a special, limited-edition bundle that
includes Age of Empires, Age of Empires: The Rise of Rome Expansion, Age of
Empires II: The Age of Kings, and Age of Empires II: The Conquerors Expansion.
In addition, The Collector’s Edition comes with an exclusive music CD,
containing musical scores from the games, and Age of Empires promotional and
teaser trading cards. Only 75,000 copies of The Collector’s Edition were
created for distribution in North America.
Age
of Empires is one of the most successful strategy game franchises in history,
