The App Store is about to hit a major milestone with 50 billion downloads across the platform.
The countdown has passed the 49 billion mark and is rising fast. To celebrate, Apple is giving away a $10,000 gift card, along with several $500 cards. It also revealed the top 50 paid and free apps of all time.
Among the top free apps are mobile games Words with Friends at No. 6, Temple Run at No. 9, Angry Birds at No. 13, Draw Something at No. 14, Fruit Ninja at No. 18, and Pac-Man Lite at No. 23, according to VG247.
Rounding out the paid apps list are Angry Birds, Fruit Ninja, Doodle Jump, Cut the Rope, and Angry Birds Seasons — just in the top five alone.
