Apparently there’s a Captain Marvel easter egg in Doctor Strange

Doctor Strange debuted this past weekend in the U.S. to great reviews and a huge box office financial success. In typical Marvel fashion, there were a number of easter eggs to be found, especially in the two end credits scene. One, however, was found during the movie when Doctor Strange crashed his Lamborghini and is allegedly about Captain Marvel.

No spoilers, but we know Doctor Strange crashes his car which forces him to seek alternative treatments to heal himself. While driving his Lamborghini on a rainy, mountainside road, he is on the phone with a fellow doctor while reviewing medical files. The caller sends him a file to review about a female who has an implant in her brain to control her schizophrenia when she was suddenly struck by lightning. This female is allegedly Carol Danvers' Captain Marvel character.

Entertainment Weekly spoke with Scott Derickson about the tie in, and he had a pretty interesting reply. “Remember that Brittany Murphy movie where she goes ‘I’ll never tell…’was his response, and we all know how this works. The reason for the tie in is because of the mind altering worms that were used to induce schizophrenia into Captain Marvel.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out, and we'll  update you if we hear anything more. For now, Doctor Strange is in theaters now and I definitely recommend you see it.
