Apple rumored to debut new iPhone 6S on September 9th

Apple's new line of iPhone and iPad devices are expected to be revealed next month during the company's annual fall media event. According to BuzzFeed News, sources familiar with Apple's plans claim the company will host its special event during the week of September 7th, with the grand unveiling of its new line of iPhone and iPad products coming on September 9th.

Apple held its event on the same day last year, and unveiled the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Apple is believed to debut the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus this year, complete with a pressure-sensitive Force Touch display, an improved camera system, and a significantly faster and power-efficient wireless chip. One of the examples for use of the Force Touch functionality include looking up a location in the Maps application and then using the feature to immediately begin turn-by-turn directions.

Along with the new line of iPhones, the sources claim that Apple will also "likely" show off the latest iPads, as well as the long-awaited successor to Apple TV.

I know the source comes via Buzzfeed, and I feel dirty actually writing about them as if they were anything more than a clickbait website, but there's no reason to doubt this one. Apple traditionally hosts its media events in September, so this doesn't come as much of a surprise.
