Xbox Live’s Director of Programming, Codename: Major Nelson, announced the Xbox LIVE Preview Program today. Keep in mind this is just a fancy way of saying “beta”, and making you figure out what’s wrong with the new features so that Microsoft doesn’t have to do it themselves.
Among these new features are ESPN on Xbox Live, Zune music, Netflix search, the new Xbox LIVE dashboard, and new updates to Zune video and Family Settings on your Xbox 360. If you’re excited about any of these, you really need to get out more.
Nelson also points out that while you will need to sign up through Microsoft Connect, this has nothing to do with Microsoft Kinect. You’d think a multi-billion dollar conglomerate would think these things through, but you’d be wrong.
Thousands of participants are invited so act now and you’ll likely make it in.
