Indie developer Phil Fish, who last July abruptly announced his departure from the video game industry, is back. Or so he'd have you believe.
The outspoken indie dev took to Twitter today announcing his return. "im back! FEZ II is back on!"
Hardy har. If today were any other day, Phil, I'd have believed you. Not today though.
Fish was working on FEZ 2 when he suddenly announced he would be leaving the video game industry. "I am done. I take the money and I run," Fish said at the time. "This is as much as I can stomach. This is isn’t the result of any one thing, but the end of a long, bloody campaign. You win."
It's widely believed that an argument between Fish and writer Marcus Beer is what sparked Fish's early departure, though he insisted at the time that wasn't the case.
Do you believe Fish when he says he's back or is this just another April Fools' Day joke?
