Aquaman enters pre-production this month on the Gold Coast

The Gold Coast Bulletin has announced that Aquaman will be begin pre-production this month, as soon as Marvel has completed dismantling the sets for the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok.

Aquaman will be the second standalone film in the DC Universe after Justice League after next year's Wonder Woman and precedes The Flash (if it gets a new director). As of now, we have of course Jason Mamoa as Aquaman, Amber Heard as Mera, Willem Dafoe as Nuidis with so far an unknown actor to play the villain Black Manta.

Mamoa's Aquaman made a quick debut in BvS: Dawn of Justice which lasted for only about five seconds. His portrayal in the upcoming Justice League will be his first main appearance, and from what we've seen in the trailer he doesn't take any crap not even from Ben Affleck's Bruce Wayne.

Hopefully we'll hear more soon, as Aquaman has all the potential for a great film especially considering the possible effects and CGI.
