ARK: Survival Evolved patch brings beer to the island

The latest patch for ARK: Survival Evolved has been detailed by the game's official Twitter page. Due for release soon, the patch includes framerate fixes and a number of new items.

The most requested feature, splitscreen online play, has been confirmed and updated to include online play rather than simply local co-op. Some new weapons, including a shock prod and riot armor will be available as well as a dung beetle. This will make sure all of the PC changes through version 2.33 are up to date on Xbox One, including a 33% increase in maximum players allowed in servers.

ARK: Survival Evolved is available on Xbox Game Preview program as well as PC early access, and is due for a full release this Summer. It's available now on both platforms for $35. Hopefully the patch truly does fix the framerate on Xbox One as it's been extremely poor since launch and has been hampering play. Although the game does have more players on Xbox One than PC, eventually players get fed up with waiting and move on.
