Armello full release date finally revealed

GameZone’s own Matt Liebl talked about the indie game Armello back in May, filling us in on this intriguing combination of RPG, board game, and strategy game. Armello has been called “Game of Thrones with animals,” and features plenty of those adorable anthropomorphic animals. Essentially it’s a virtual tabletop game where four animal kingdoms battle it out to overthrow the lion king who has gone mad.

Developer League of Geeks recently revealed two new playable characters for the game, Zosha the Whisper (a rat), and Barnaby the Screwloose (a rabbit). Zosha is a stealthy character, lying in wait at night to attack, but isn’t able to take much damage. Barnaby has a large inventory of different items, as well as strong body armor, which makes him a big contender. These new characters are all part of LoG’s plan to make Armello just like all the great tabletop games of the past.

Armello has been on Steam’s early access since January 22, 2015, but it finally has an official full release date. It will release on PC, Mac, Linux, and PS4 on September 1st, 2015. The final price for Armello will be $19.99 which is, remarkably, cheaper than the early access price of $24.99.
