Nintendo Switch's ARMS has been released recently, and since then, a free DLC was announced. This DLC adds Max Brass "The Commish", originally a boss-type character, to the player roster.
We already knew the update was coming tomorrow, July 12, but we've since learned what all is being added besides the Commish. It turns out, this free update adds quite a bit more than the big man himself.
Max comes with a few new Arms sets, including the Nade, Roaster, and the Kablammer. These are now being added to the arsenal of player options. There's also a new arena to fight in called the Sky Arena.
Perhaps the most exciting part of the update besides Max Brass is the new versus mode. In an interview with Eurogamer, ARMS producer Kosuke Yabuki revealed details on the mode, which allows players to play as yet another character: The game's final boss Hedlok.
"Max Brass is the main part of tomorrow's update, but there is a new versus mode where in a fight between two or three players there's a Hedlok mask players battle over, and when you get the mask your own character can turn into Hedlok."
This exciting update apparently isn't all that's coming either. Nintendo has stated that it will continue supporting ARMS with a steady stream of free content. Yabuki has previously stated that he hopes that ARMS will become a staple franchise for Nintendo. It looks like they're making the moves required to make that happen. But the real question is: Will the eventual sequel be called LEGS? Check out our first look at the game here.
