‘Arrow’ casts new DC villain Baron Blitzkrieg for season 4

A new report from The Hollywood Reporter reveals that a new DC villain is on his way to season 4 of Arrow, and he will be played no other than Jimmy Akingbola. The British actor will play as Baton Reiter aka Baron Blitzkrieg.

Baron Blitzkrieg will make a recurring presence through a series of flashbacks, similar to how Oliver Island flashbacks used to happen in season 1. In the comics, Baron Blitzkrieg leads a criminal organization called the  Shadowspire and notably clashes with Wonder Woman and Superman.

A couple more castings have also been made for Arrow season 4, Jimmy Akingbola will join Neal McDonough as Damien Darhk, Alexander Calvert as Lonnie Machin/Anarky and Echo Kellum as DC superhero Mister Terrific.

Arrow returns Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
