The newest installment in the Art Academy series is now available on the eShop, Nintendo announced today.
The company confirmed Art Academy: SketchPad at the Electronic Entertainment Expo back in June. Now Wii U owners can use their GamePad controllers as a canvas. They can draw creations with realistic graphite, charcoal, colored pencils, and pastels and share them on the Miiverse online community.
In addition, Smudge Sticks and Putty Rubber enable players to blur colors and textures.
"This is only the beginning — we are developing an Art Academy title that includes in-depth art lessons, so be sure to check Nintendo eShop for future updates!" Nintendo wrote on its website.
Headstrong Games developed the free software.
