Assassin’s Creed 2 is free today for Xbox LIVE Gold Members

Assassin's Creed 2, the second free game for the month of July for Xbox LIVE Gold subscribers, is available to download today. Normally priced at $19.99, the game is free as part of Microsoft's new "Games with Gold" program, which rewards Gold members with two free gamers per month. The first game released this month was Defense Grid: The Awakening.

In addition to AC2 being free, Microsoft is running an "Assassin's Creed" Franchise Sale. Beginning today and running until the end of July, you can get the following Assassin's Creed titles for a discount.
