A new trailer for Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation has been released giving fans their first look at how the typically console-based franchise translates to Sony's new PlayStation Vita mobile device.
Despite the franchise's move to the the Vita, Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation still includes the iconic staples seen in previous installments including combat, free-roaming navigation, and a "rich story full of intrigue and twists".
With that being said, Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation also introduces some new elements. For the first time in the series, players will play as a female protagonist, Aveline, fighting for freedom in 18th century New Orleans. That's right, Liberation takes place in 18th-century Louisiana as the city of New Orleans, under the new rule of the Spanish Empire, reaches the brink of rebellion while the rest of the coastal colonies are battling in the American Revolution.
Check out and enjoy the new trailer as Avelin scales buildings, leaps from rooftops, and navigates the city of New Orleans in her upcoming adventure. By the way, that white Vita you are looking at in the trailer is part of the new Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation bundle which includes a "crystal white" Wi-fi only version of the Vita, the Liberation game, and a 4GB memory card.
