A leaked release date for Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag indicates an October 29, 2013 launch for the game. The date was uncovered by prodding around Ubisoft's official Assassin's Creed 4 countdown site. Simply adding a "v" to the end of the site URL takes you to the world premiere trailer for Black Flag. The trailer is currently missing, but there's a ton of other juicy information — namely, its release date.
The page says that Black Flag is "also coming to next-gen consoles," which likely means the PlayStation 4 and next Xbox — though Microsoft has yet to announce its new console. Official Ubisoft box art for the game only revealed a PS3, Xbox 360, PC, and Wii U release for the game, though we originally speculated that it would be heading to next-gen in a similar fashion to Ubisoft's Watch Dogs.
Those who pre-order will supposedly receive a collectible Todd McFarlane poster. However, the pre-order now button redirects you to Assassin's Creed 3.
The official reveal for Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag is coming on Monday, March 4, so be sure to check back for all of the gritty details.
