Remember the Castlevania series that's being produced on Netflix by Adi Shankar? Apparently, he isn't stopping there. While the animated Castlevania debuts this Friday, news of his next project emerge. That project is Assassin's Creed.
While the Assassin's Creed movie received mixed reviews, the animated TV show from Shenkar would not be related to the Hollywood feature. He posted to his Facebook page today, saying Ubisoft contacted him about developing an original story.
Shankar's other projects include Dredd (2012) and Machine Gun Preacher (2011). He hasn't offered any more details on the project, but the possibilities are endless with a series about time-hopping to different eras in the past. Could the story be about someone in the present hopping through different assassin's pasts? Or will it be focused on one historic assassin?
The Assassin's Creed movie still grossed $240 million, which is a win for video game adaptions, but honestly, Assassin's Creed may fit better in a series with how complex the plot can get.
In other Assassin's Creed news, the director of Assassin's Creed Origins recently talked about world size and side quests of the new title.
