Assassin’s Creed Origins Xbox One download size revealed

With the release date of Assassin's Creed Origins roughly three weeks out, it's no surprise that the Xbox Store has updated Origins' store page with the download size on Xbox One.

The approximate download size for Assassin's Creed Origins, as listed by Microsoft, is 42.3 GB. While this might seem like a large download, it's worth noting that it's about the same as Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare's download size (about 50GB) and less than half of Halo 5: Guardians' download size (around 98 GB as of now).

If you are an Xbox gamer you should get used for hefty downloads for a while – the Xbox One X will be bringing even bigger file sizes with. The version of Assassin's Creed Origins for the Xbox One X is coming with a number of enhancements that will likely mean a bigger install size.

The huge downloads are a pain for gamers that tend to make digital game purchases rather than physical game purchases, but there's a light at the end of the download tunnel. Microsoft is looking into an 'Intelligent Delivery' program for the Xbox One X that will keep game downloads a lot smaller by removing unnecessary aspects of the download.

Assassin's Creed Origins is set to release on October 27th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
