Assassin’s Creed Unity Season Pass detailed; adds 8 hours of new content

Assassin's Creed Unity may be set in Paris, France, but Ubisoft is taking you all over the place with the game's Season Pass. Detailed today, the Assassin's Creed Unity Season Pass will take you from the busy streets of Paris to the dark and rural city of Saint Denis, while a completely a completely separate Assassin's Creed Chronicles stand-alone experience will transport you to China. In total, you're looking at about eight hours of additional content.

Dead Kings is a new story campaign set after the events of Assassin's Creed Unity. Arno leaves Paris for Saint Denis, "a troubled city with a mysterious and extensive underground that holds the crypts of deceased French kings." Ubisoft says this self-contained set of short missions will see you "explore the depths of the Basilica and fight merciless adversaries to uncover the darkest secrets of the city." Arno will also be equipped with a new Guillotine gun. In addition to the main missions, Dead Kings will also add new open-world activities including treasure hunts, murder mysteries and contracts, as well as new co-op missions.

In addition to this separate adventure, the Season Pass will also expand upon your adventures in Paris, adding more missions, weapons, and customization options. You'll be able to upgrade your customized assassin and take on three added missions, while obtaining over 30 new weapons, equipment, and outfits.

Lastly, there's Assassins' Creed Chronicles: China, a stand-alone experience delivering new story, setting and gameplay in a 2.5D reimagining of the franchise. Developed by Climax Studios, Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China will take you to, well, China where you'll perform parkour all up on the Great Wall of China.

"For the first time ever, players will be transported to the Middle Kingdom in the 16th century, where the last remaining Assassin of the Chinese Brotherhood has returned to her homeland," Ubisoft said of the new experience. "Players will be immersed in a vibrant setting, inspired by traditional brush paintings and Chinese architecture from a pivotal, historic time period in one of the greatest civilizations in history. Hell-bent on revenge, Shao Jun will use the skills she learned under legendary Assassin Ezio Auditore to exact vengeance. Players will be able to rely on stealth to accomplish their mission, as well as Shao Jun’s martial arts training and all-new Assassin gear."

All of this content will be released by early 2015. The Assassin's Creed Unity Season Pass is currently priced at $29.99, saving you 30 percent than if you were to purchase each piece of content individually.
